Q: What
size fittings are needed? Would like to set up with 30 ft hose.
A: It is set up for 2" pipe thread. You'd have to make your own transition to fit a hose to it.
Q:
Is there a certain holding tank that you can recommend to put the unit in?
A: This pump has a tripod style base or support. A tank with a recessed bottom that the three feet will fit completely and flat in is recommended. This will center the pump and keep it off the sidewalls. We do not favor one manufacturer over another, just the style of the tank. Some also used a sump basin.
Q:
Do they come with a power cord?
A: Yes, it has a power cord and a float cord. The sewage pump has its own power cord that is already attached to the pump, and the attached float switch has its own power cord attached to it as well.
Q: Will this work to pump out my septic tank? What type of hose should I use?
A: This is a sewage pump and it will work to pump out of a septic tank. It can pass up to 2 inch solids. You can use a 2 inch PVC pipe or hose for your discharge line.
