It includes 30 fold-out and 2 page maps of the states or countries through which the routes pass. Mostly in the northern, middle and eastern States. The 30 maps are all present. It also includes four plans of cities and is embellished with 26 engravings. The text begins with origins and progress of railroads, extended texts on some eastern railroads and a few southern railroads as well. Appendices on sailing of steamships, telegraph prices, and money conversion. 313 pages. The book has some mild general wear. The spine might have been reglued. Edge and corner wear. A few of the maps have small tears near the pages they are attached to. A few pages have some light soiling or spotting. Overall, this is still a pretty nice copy of a rare early travel guide.
